DRILLED & GROOVED
Discussion
I've fitted princess 4 pot calipers And I am now looking at brake discs has any one tried Rossini, drilled & grooved discs as an alternatine to the grany vented discs & spacers.
Are they as good as they Claim -
"Rossini Performance products have developed a unique new range of specially multi drilled and grooved performance Brake Discs. The drilling Cools the disc quickly. Grooves in the disc reduces brake pad glazing and repels Brake dust and moisture. The grooving increases Brake grip -Instantly. Rossini Brake Discs can improve stopping distance by as much as 40%."
Any views appreciated

What about the Granda vented as per the Cosworth?
Not sure I understand this. The MKII Granada disks used on the Wedge are 5 stud. The Sierra/ Escort Cosworth stuff is 4 stud as used on the Chimera.
I think you will find that there isn't much available off the shelf to use on the Wedge with the Princess Calipers. I managed to get hold of a second hand set of AP Bells and Rotors as originally used on the 420/450 SEAC, but they aren't drilled or grooved.
I've just fitted a new pair of rotors to my 400SE. They are standard size, 8 grooves, and were machined by BG developments in Bromsgrove (an AP dealer) from AP blanks. I seem to recall AP telling me that drillings were prone to cracking. Cost was £248 a pair plus vat and postage. They also do the rotor/bell bolt kits which are an unusual UNF size. They're at www.bgdevelopments.co.uk
