Anyone want some free photos of their cars?
Discussion
Hi all,
I am a professional cinematographer by trade, but have recently got back into taking still photos - re-discovering the joy of medium format.
I might like to put together a little book or similar with some nice pics of cars and I wondered if anyone in the area (pref Suffolk/Essex but anywhere in East Anglia) would be willing to donate themselves, their car and a couple of hours in exchange for some great pics of their cars?
I don't intend to make any money out of this, I make movies for money, this is more of a passion thing.
Anything interesting or PH-worthy would be of interest, I am particularly keen on import, American, Lotus Esprit, Ferraris, Porsches, oh sod it - nice cars!
Thanks all
James

Lads I'm interested in all the cars posted here. As for photo venues, I was hoping people would know places roughly nearby to them which make good photo ops.
I tend to find slightly unusual venues work really well - there are a lot of delapidated old barns around mine which make a nice contrast to a lot of cars.
Loving the 'stang there, pretty fine background on that one!

Gaz - all are welcome.
I won't be doing one massive photoshoot on one day, I will be doing this as an ongoing thing - to suit weather, time and people.
No point trying to organise one massive event, it'd be silly.
At the very most I'd only do one or two cars on any given day, if nothing else I would like to at least pick the owner's brains for a little bit about their purchases

As for cars going down country lanes, that sounds more like a movie thing to me... which I can arrange.
The camera I have on order is sadly not particularly suited to moving shots, but we will see what happens.
I like the sound of the Skyline trio.
Previous pictures I have done to follow.

Hopefully this gives an idea of the breadth of topic.
Some of these pics are quite old, and some quite different to what I'm looking to do presently, but hopefully proof I'm not a numpty with a camera
Anybody curious about my professional (cinema) work should go to www.jamesmartindop.com

What have you got Richard?
Just to be clear this will be more of an ongoing project throughout the summer, it won't just be one day of production-line photography. I want to take the time to get to know the cars and their owners. When the camera appears I'm going to do one test shoot to make sure everything's OK and then I'll get cracking.
It won't be quick as I'll be shooting on film but hopefully the results will be worth it.

Sadly the 996 is gone and i am back to ordinary wheels.
Although, 17 year old me would be very surprised to consider a 4.4l v8 Bavarian barge ordinary!
I will definitely come on the chip run if work permits and I'm quite excited about this, should be enough material for a nice little photobook here. Will make a really nice project to occupy me over summer.
