Had a fantastic day, thank you to all concerned!
The Lexus did 150-160 miles on the track and I drove off at the end of the afternoon as the last car still out there, with the fuel light firmly glowing orange, so I feel I had my money's worth. Even managed to drive home on the tyres it had on all day (and it was the second time at Marham for the fronts).
Just as important, good to catch up with old trackday friends and make some new ones.
The ride in the Lexus was awesome! Thanks to you and all the others who offered support, tools, expertise, and even a drive in their car as I tried to get my brake servo back into play. I'm sorry to miss tomorrow, but I'll be back in September once I've made the Cayman behave itself. The Lexus did 150-160 miles on the track and I drove off at the end of the afternoon as the last car still out there, with the fuel light firmly glowing orange, so I feel I had my money's worth. Shame. If you were booked-in why not come along anyway? I'm sure you'll be able to blag some passenger rides, and if you're there on Saturday and the Lexus is going OK then you're welcome to drive a lap or two in that.
Thank you kindly for the invite! I actually didn't book at all as I knew there was a pretty high risk I wouldn't have time to have the car running. Also, with the work I'm doing, Marham isn't the ideal place to make sure it's running right - I need to get confident on a track that isn't so much 100% throttle.I hope you all had a great day (and tomorrow is good) - and I will be back, even if I've taken the Impreza out of the garage and set fire to it by then
Well - I've broken it at last ! The Holden has succumed to broken alternator - after countless trackday laps without missing a beat. Completely random failure, its just stopped charging. So I won't be there tomorrow.
Thank you all for a splendid day, as usual the organisation was first class. I hope we kept you all entertained.
Back next time, maybe with a few more ponies 😉

Well what can I say...?? Well, a huge thanks to all who attended, got some great track time in, used plenty of fuel, ate a lot of burgers and behaved impeccably out on track!
No major incidents all weekend was an excellent result, but the recovery vehicle did a lot of miles this year, one Sierra Saph particulary that wasn't happy unless it was HOT!
The team did a sterling job trying to keep everything moving which hopefully pleased the drivers?!
Seeing the two Evo's and the A class merc playing was good to see, that merc did shift!!! Thank you also goes to those giving passenger rides.....of which there were PLENTY!!
Roll on 3rd week in September ! Hope to see you all again and plenty of new faces too....by then I WILL have the PowerPoint slide for 'overtaking' squared away.....eventually I will figure out left and right!!!
Many thanks one and all!
Foz.

I've got a few pics of cars out on the track so will post them up for people in the next few days, most likely on the website if I can't do it here.
Look forward to seeing if you managed to get the Lexus at some point.Only one I have for now, first thing on Saturday morning:

Cheers Marham!!
I had an awesome/brilliant/st hot, amazing first proper track day in the Pug.
Met some amazing people, who I intend to keep in touch with (Matt, Heather, Stuart, Rob and the Puma blokes, to name a few).
I've learned lots, take extra wheels/tyres, and at least some tools, and more cash for tea and burgers.
To be fair to the little 206, it did amazing, much better than I expected. And I had FUN!! (And it got me home).
Hoping to come in September, the day after Rallyday.

It's always good to see some women drivers at these events, even the young lady I saw in the Scooby who came with the Saab and let him fix her drive shaft whilst she supervised from the picnic chair!
The emphasis is firmly on safe fun, and I think we achieved that?!!!
Very few photos from me, too busy driving.

Another thanks to all those involved. Had a great day and enjoyed it more than last year, after gaining the confidence to really lean on the Golf in the bends.
Looking forward to the next one.

That's what it's all about, knowing your own and your cars limits! Were you in the gorgeous R32?Looking forward to the next one.

Totally agree. And where I thought the handling would be the factor to hold it back despite considerable effort on my part, I couldn't get it to over or understeer all day. It behaved impeccably. The brakes did go wobbly but the same thing happened last time. I thought it was pad deposits on the discs then, but that's clearly not the issue. I have a plan to get it booked in for a Pro-Cut skim of the discs, so that's an easy fix for next time.It was the black R32 with the bronze wheels. She scrubs up quite nicely for a 10 year old car.
