Sounds like an exhausting day!
I would have hated to do that trip in my Ultima.
Steve, sorry to hear you broke down. Paul, You are not the first to get on the M1 by mistake and you certainly won't be the last. I have also done exactly that. Driving round the North Circular, you would think that the middle lane is a safe bet for going straight over a roundabout...not so! You have to get in the left hand lane and filter left. Completeley bizarre really.
