PHEA Run: Three Counties Breakfast Run - Sunday 20th July
Discussion
I'd like to thank everyone who turned out for another highly enjoyable Run.
Great automotive sights, wonderful human company very warm weather and relatively empty roads made for an exciting morning.
Breakfast was great too! Thank to The Angel for again hosting us
Further thanks to Ian for not only playing convoy caboose, but indeed sorting out the breakfast stop
Lots a newbies and seasoned vets' in a wide range of vehicles made for an excellent (and noisy!) convoy across the Three Counties
I think I may alter the route again when near the Services stop, but I hope the route was enjoyable for you all.
As ever, positive and negative feedback is always welcome.
Ziontrain: I'm so sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. A bit cliche, but it metal can be replaced. I wish you all the best. I would suggest that, if you can, get back out on the road as soon as you can to build up confidence once again. It's happened to many of us, so we can relate. Hope to catch up with you soon.
Just sorting through the photos, which I will post in good time.
Next up will be Helmingham Hall, a PHEA Thread for which will appear VERY soon.
Thank you all again.
Darren

Yes, another excellent morning, great to see a McLaren and Ferrari joining the fun. Many thanks Darren for organising and Ian for sorting out breakfast. Well worth getting up at 4.00 for!
Ziontrain, glad you're ok, and as Darren said, cars can be repaired. Hopefully we'll see you soon.

Ditto...thanks Darren and team in organising this jaunt to see the wonderful sights in the 3 counties. Good crowd of enthusiasts and like minded petrolheads.
My commiseration to the Mini-driver and relieved to the news that he sustained only minor injuries....from the description, he was lucky to get away with only minor injuries after doing a fakie 180 jump with his car at high speed.
I for one would like to know the BHP on that Leon....top sleeper and good driver skills too!
Looking forward to the next run....

Hi everybody
Another fantastic 3 Counties run! Nice to see a McLaren and have a chance for a close up view. Good boot too!! I'm sad but I turned down a Gallardo because it has a minuscule boot. No good if you want to tour and use your beloved car.
Thanks to the organisers without whom it would not happen. Excellent breakfast and chat.
Commiserations to the Cooper S. Hope he is getting over it and Mum & Dad were supportive as I know this was his biggest worry.

Thanks all for a great day; fab turn out and nice company.
Special thanks to Darren, Neil and Ian for letting me ride shot gun on the different legs Odd not having my own car on the run but you guys made up for it!
Glad Ziontrain is OK and if it is any consolation I had a slight brown trouser moment on that same corner last year. There really isn't much warning that the corner is 90 degrees!!
Oh and can we start a sweepstake on the power of that SEAT? I'll guess 290bhp

Hi guys, thanks for the kind words. I'm mostly alright, right ankle's a bit battered and I've got a fair few colourful bruises but I'll be alright. Waiting to hear back from the insurance lot regarding the car, not heard much positive so far though looks like the water in the ditch is the killer factor, although I couldn't tell how badly the chassis was damaged from the photos my dad showed me pre-recovery. Obviously I'm gutted as I've only had the car 2 months but that might mean I get something back relatively close to what I paid for it. Still gonna get rogered with no lube for insurance now though!

Just be thankful that your alright, thats the main thing!Yeah. On the bright side I checked autotrader today and there's a nice cooper s fairly local to me for a sensible price, simialr spec to the other with a few more bits. chucked it on comparethemarket with my details (excursion from the road included) and it came back with a quote about 100quid higher than my previous one, which doesnt seem that bad, all things considered! just got to hope i get a sensible amount from the insurance now...
