hi,
looking for somewhere to have my weber 45's properly jetted and set up on my vauxhall 20xe which is fitted in my corsa.
needs to be within a reasonable distance of downham market.
Any recomendations of who to go to and not to go to.

cheers

cheers, i was going to have a look at the monza at the charity track day, but i had i bit of a problem with my car (bright yellow corsa, you must have seen it parked on the edge of the runway broken down lol) so did not get chance.
will have to give him a call when the engine is back in after the rebuild

My 2 hours with Peter were frankly nothing short of amazing - what that guy doesn't know about carbs can be written on the back of a first class stamp in capitals!!!

He concentrated on fueling and ignition and reckoned if I improved the linkage arrangement and fitration there was probably another 10-15bhp in there for a little effort (I have laugh and if I had to guess I'd say it was knocking on the door of 260bhp now)

He had no issues with me helping and he explained everything he did in simple plain english - admittedly I explained that the car was mainly for track work so he set it up a smidge on the rich side so fuel consumption isn't brilliant but it still does 24-26mpg on the run to Le Mans and back

The best bit about Peter's work was the car is as drivable as it was on injection - I've never driven a carb equipped car which will pull hard from 30 to 150 in 5th (no missing coughs splutters or any of that rubbish just pulls ands pulls and pulls)

In case any one else is in any doubt he is brilliant

below is the before and after maps overlayed onto one graph (done at the same dyno place)

Had the same kind of attention to detail and input myself from Peter Burgess in Alfreton when he set up my 1293 cc Midget on its single 44HIF SU

some RR people are just awesome

Try SCA at Norwich they did my triple weber's no problem she runs very well, although dyno seemed low but the difference on the road was noticable.

Yet another +1 for Peter Baldwin.

First time I went in he had just finished setting up the 6 DCOEs on a Ferrari V12, unfortunately he couldn't do my engine that time due to an issue with the ECU that gave 10 degree static timing, went back again this year with the DCOE and the difference in driveability is awesome.
