PHEA Christmas meal.

After discussions at todays meeting it has been decided to move Novembers meeting to Sunday the 10th December and partake of a Christmas meal at the Gardeners Arms.

We will need to book numbers very quickly with the pub and a deposit (£10 each) will be required to secure the booking. I have added the menu below so if you would like to attend would you please add you details to this thread or PM me. We also have to decide upon the food and pre-book it, so along with your details could I have your choice of Starter, Main and Dessert please.

With regard to the deposit for the meal, I am happy to collect all the individual cheques so I can spend it !! I mean send one cheque on to the pub. If you are coming along PM me though my profile and I will mail you my address back. Thanks. Hope this is acceptable to everyone.

I would like to confirm a booking with the pub in about a weeks time. Thanks.

Yep I know what you mean John, we're into double figures already. I,m about to speak to Robert to put him in the picture.



Job done, I,ve just spoken to Robert the Landlord and booked for a min of 14 which can be increased if need be. The booking is not fully confirmed until a deposit is paid though as we were told yesterday, so get those cheques to me ASAP please!!!!

We,re fast approaching 20 now, so looks like a take over bid on the main dining room !

More good news is that Gussie will be joining us for our Christmas 'do'. I will be good to welcome her back to the fold.

John, if you wish to pay in full thats your choice, but the pub only requires a £10 per head deposit at this stage and I don't feel its fair for me to hold onto the remainder of the cost of your meal until the day.

The cheques are starting to roll in (keep them coming), once received I will email the person to let them know of its arrival. I am also trying to keep the pub informed of numbers.

Just a gently reminder that I would like all food orders and deposits to me be Sunday this week please, I will then get a cheque away to The Gardeners Arms on Monday.

Once a cheque is received I will e mail the sender back to confirm receipt.

Gary / Patrick, thanks cheques received this morning.

Still a few cheques plus a couple of meal orders to be received. I have emailed the offending parties this morning Come along now, get those cheque books out !!

Has anyone got any contact info for Anya apart from an email? I having been trying in vain to get a response but no joy.

Right thats it we now have 29 on the list. The landlord tells me that the dining room can handle 30 and its ours for the day. Well done everybody!

One or two cheques to still come in, I shall get the order and a booking cheque away to the pub tomorrow so the sooner I can have the remaining cheques in the better.

Right, I now have everyones food choices and hope to get the final order and deposit cheque in the post to the pub later today.

However, I am still awaiting a number of cheques. If I pay the deposit today I will be some £140 out of pocket. If you have not received an email from me confirming receipt of your cheque, its because I have not received it yet. Could I please have the remaining monies in ASAP please.

I,ve received an email from the pub confirming receipt of the cheque and our booking. So its all official now. Five weeks and counting !
