I've just signed up for the TVR London rally on Sunday 26 November. I'm number 212 so this is looking to be a record breaking turnout.

Anyone else going to this and if so how about a PHEA convoy? Maybe meet one of the other convoys en-route.

Hi Ian, had you considered slapping one of these on your Corvette's bonnet? On second thoughts, it might work in your local Tesco carpark but probably not on this rally.

Sue is busy that day so the passenger seat is yours if you like.
One car is not a convoy though, so who else is interested?

(Greeting from Chile BTW, yes I'm still stuck precisely here)

Back to the rally, I don't expect it to make any difference. However, I would like to register my disapproval of another British brand going away.

Also I've not made it to any of the back home runs and think this could be the last ever big TVR gathering. A world record number of same make cars, and TVRs at that will be great fun.

Since I haven't driven my Tiv for a month I'm really looking forward to this!

'Tis true. Ian and I will be leaving for Baldock at 7:30/8:00am, unlike the Essex convoy which is leaving Thurroch half an hour before it arrives. Now that keen!

We'll be leaving Baldock services at 10am if any other TVR owners are interested.

Martin,

YHM back. See you there. Look out for a bloke in a London Thunder polo shirt!

Hi Paul, It seems I drove all the way to London with a duff alternator and with lights, wipers and fans all on max. The battery gave up as you saw just short of the Ace cafe. Just a flicker from the ignition warning light and then the engine died.

Ian and I had to trade the Whitehall bit for a burger and coffee at the Ace. The boss there said the total turnout was over 1500 TVRs. Shirley not that many?. We lost count but did see that the convoy took a full 55 minutes to leave the cafe. We also heard that all 110 factory workers got a ride which is good.

Not posted any pictures yet. Most on the ones I took seem to feature a large orange transit van. Ho-hum. Got home at 7pm so too bad.

The guy in the S was Yellabelly from Lincoln. He got going again after topping up his coolant. Like us he won't have been counted.

I was told that the official clickers at the cafe got muddled so video evidence from part of the route will be submitted for record verification purposes instead. I'm not sure which bit of road was being filmed other than it was a white line somewhere!
