Well I,ve got it past 'her indoors', so tommorrow I will be ordering a replacement performance chip and one or two other odds an sods for the Corvette. I reckon that all in with the alterations to the exhaust I should gain about 50 HP. That should take it up to around 350HP all in, that should help a little !! evil Delivery is about 2 weeks, so it doesn,t look like it will be modded ready for the Mosler run.

Increases should be from mid to top end, as the chip adjusts the timing and fueling to allow a higher rev range and more torque at mid range. Also adding a K&N filter in place of the standard one, a lower temp thermostat (cooler running of the engine gives colder and denser intake air), and a insert to fit in front of the thottle bodies to aid air flow into the plenium.

Well all the 'toys' came today and there all on ! Job done !

Cars certainly more aggressive off the line and revs higher up the range, overall a very noticable difference. Also noticed whilst out 'playing' the average mpg was a bit lower than normal !! Mind you I was 'trying the car out' shall we say ! evil
