I think Antrim (Shanes Castle) would be a good place to start, its pretty central for everyone and anyone who cant make the start time can join us along the way. I need to check if we can get into the grounds but if not there is a large carpark which is open to the public so thats the other option.

Start time?
Well I was thinking of stopping at the Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown for Lunch/chat/photos etc nice spot and good size carpark.
Carvery £16.95PP with two sittings 12.30 and 2PM This will have to be booked before hand so we have an idea of how many for lunch there are going to be.

So the start time depnds on which sitting we want personally I think 2pm but lets hear your fews.

There may well be a few no shows but to be honest we will have more than enough cars to manage.

Do we really need to go the private e-mail route?
The "cloak and dagger" approach may serve those who think they can blast round at 100MPH as no one will know we are coming. If it is in the back of everyones mind that the police could be around the next corner it should encourage to keep the speeds within the limits.

That way nobody was racing to catch up and the main group waited for everyone to arrive before moving off again.

It is fairly close to Shanes Castle that has plenty of space. Will, was away there today checking it out and speaking to the owners to make sure all was ok. We would like people to be there for 11am, if people want to start showing up earlier that is fine. From there we will move on and aim to be at the Glenavon Hotel for around 1.00pm.

I have organised the Glenavon Hotel for lunch etc, they were very accommodating and will hold a dedicated parking spot for us also. The food is going to be a simple bite, but for those that want something more I’m sure they could go into the restaurant.

What I do need to know now is, how many people are definitely going to turn up and how many are taking passengers, as I don’t want to be organising food for 60+ and only half turn up.

6. To cover the cost of Marshal items and route maps etc a fee of £5 is going to be charged for each car, all receipts will be available to be checked and any surplus money will go towards charity
