Bit of a road trip this year, hopefully in the Caterham.. Wellington - Whanganui - Oakura - Auckland - Great Barrier Island (by air... not 7 power) - back to Auckland and finally back to Welly. Give me a wave if you see me in the little green & yellow monster. Anyone got any good campsite recommendations between Taranaki & Auckland as I plan to take my time...

Happy Crimbo from the Kapiti Coast. With two newborns to look after there'll be no road trips here unless we run out of nappies! Cheers.

Trust me, they don't normally look like this - more like a couple of wide open mouths and a screaming a Ferrari Enzo couldn't match. Anybody want to borrow them? Lots of vomit and lots of weeping but worth every (sleepless) minute. Cheers.

Geday just checking in! wiped the dust off mum and dads computer and connected the dial-up lol!!!

What did everyone get for xmas?
My brother in-law thinks hes really funny and bought me a grey fluffy steering wheel cover for the Lotus, uno the one I mean laugh I was too slow in fitting it to his ski boat steering wheel before they headed for the lakes. Certainly got me good there. Will get him back!

Had some nice hot days down this way but a bit of rain late arvo on xmas day, otherwise all good beer

A bit of scissor-work would see it fitted to his toilet seat hehe

Next year maybe he'll be getting a gift voucher for a consultation at a Male Sexual Disfunction Clinic. tongue out

Hi guys had a great Xmas and New Year, good to be back home though. In true PH spirit I took a couple of pics while at my parents place of their prized cars. These ones worth sharing for those who love anything V8.

LHD Dodge Challenger 1972. The wheels are of course aftermarket but paint is original as with the vinyl roof and interior.
Its in excellent condition. Sorry I forgot to pop the hood up for engine bay pics...bad me!!

Dad on left and Simon on right tinkering with the 34 coupe just been finished. Powered by chevy V8 approx 300hp. Dad wanted a tidy reliable motor but quick enough to make the rears light up which they do indeed!!
Its arguably one of the nicest 34's in NZ for craftsmanship and loads of one off billet parts Dad made himself. For example the front grill is all made from flattend stainless tubing, quite clever. Its going in the Nationals held in Methven in a few months so be interesting so see how it goes.

He extended the bonnet length by approx 20cm for a sleeker stance, so major mods were needed for chassis etc. Looks awesome in the flesh.

Nothing beats making up for lost time, think you have certainly done that mate!!!

Me and my sisters didnt get much of a chance. It was breed into us about keeping our cars in tip top shape and keeping them clean and presetable at all times. I remember last xmas my sister turned up in her new XR6 and was filthy inside and out, Dad gave her a right bollocking, she should have known better!! hehe I admit strugging with Simons garage and his car at times, most of the time it looks like its gone to war!

That's a beautifully engineered vehicle. I particularly like the fillet of trellis he has incorporated in the window which you can see clearly on the second to last photo. wink
