All,

Just to gauge numbers, and let the 8 Ball Diner know rough numbers, I'll put this up in advance of this month's meeting - which is still at The Lodge in SWF.

I think it's worth trying a new venue ( http://pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&f...

Normal times etc - just different place.

Will the 355 be running again by then Ken? Been a while since I've seen it out!

I'm hoping to be in the Tiv for this - but depending on times, I might have to drive straight there from Manchester, which means company eco-beast once more.

It's probably only 20 mins from the Turnpike A130 junction up to it!

When the Essex meets started a few years back it was handy joining in with the Scoobies - as it boosted general numbers of cars to look at.

The Essex meets I think are successful in their own right now, especially in summer, so it makes sense to separate from the ESC evening IMO.

If people are interested in other Essex based driving events & meets - just speak to me or HVAC Matt - we will let you know what else is planned.

I've managed to shift some things around, some hopefully RWD fun rather than FWD dullness.

Great turnout, and a good meet I thought! Especially for the time of year, normally we only get 5-10 cars around now.

I had a chat with the owners and they were delighted, and want us back - and had a few ideas to improve the parking, e.g. open up that fenced off caravan park (and move the caravans) then rope it off for the most interesting cars to park up in.

They wanted feedback to help them improve, so please post up your thoughts.

I think (and feel free to disagree) that the 8 Ball is the best choice during the winter, as they actually have lights outside so you can see the cars - but when the Summer rolls around we can alternate between there and the Lodge?

Well, 8 Ball came back to me and said that 'Retro Rides' have booked the 3rd Thursdays of the month - and we can either share or take another date. I've got no issue with sharing, if people want to go back there?

I don't mind either way - the venues are almost equidistant from my house!

So as not to confuse matters, I'll put up another thread where people can choose what they want to do.
