Working in the US for a few years?

I just like to clarify something with you guys if thats ok. Ive got the luxuary of having dual citizenship, as my mother is English and my dad is American. This means i have both a UK passport and a USA one. I can tell you it makes getting through customs alot easier, as i just use whichever passport of the country im in.

Now i was born in the uk, so technically im a UK citizen, but im pretty sure since ive got duel citezenship with america, it means i can go over there and work without having to faf around with visa's, work permits etc.

Also if i was to do this, im sure theres a few more things to worry about appart from just turning up over there and getting work, like SS number etc am i right?
