Which you all should totally do too. Its going to be a good evening, You can even talk about business beforehand in the pub!
I'd love to but, alas, I have two very young kids and my leave pass extends to allowing me to wander over the road to the pub once a month, on the basis that I'm talking business. A full on night out pass from a Mum who still only sleeps 4 hours a night isn't going to happen I have a meeting on Thursday where I'm presenting my 'long in development via the 1stWC' website to a group who'll potentially hook it up with a UK charity, generate some much needed publicity. If anyone can sign up (10 secs, just email+password) and add just one genuine task that'd be fab, what's on there now has been there for weeks and the website looks a bit quiet. The link is in my profile, thanks.
PS It's Centrepoint and the idea is that this get used to help the homeless, becomes part of the charity (i.e. is no longer in any way commercial).

Cheers Don. Great advice and much to mull over. Wordpress just provides a free framework that gives an amateur like me more scope to play around than with a rigid template building website creating package like webs.com - you take the template/add ons, upload to a hosting provider and the costs are just the hosting ones which are minimal. If nothing else from this whole exercise I've learnt a lot about website design and can share that with others just starting out. I'll develop that site further, test URLs as you suggest and enjoy providing an update on this and all the other little projects at the next meeting. Cheers again.

Excellent, I was planning on doing a quick WordPress run through 'Hewlett's Guide To Creating a Slick Multi Functional Website in Less Than 20 Minutes'. It's a great solution for a website that does most normal type things (manage users, run a forum, sell stuff, display maps etc.) and this is MUCH more flexible than options like webs.com/wix.com etc. but a different tool than what you'd need to create something truly unusual - for that you need a PH expert partnership (thanks John).Don
