Blackbushe airport turns into a film set for 5 months!

Just been over for a look... building work pretty much finished now, will be set dressing next week apparently... took some pics of the grand stand, not sure what happened to them!
Grand stand and pit lane garages done, and they have put some sections of Arnco in as well.. Security guard was saying that they are looking for extras for the crowd scenes.

I emailed about being an extra mid Jan and got no response so assumed they had all they needed.

just got back after watching a bit of the first days filming. Quite odd when I arrived, it appeared that Japan had invaded! They are apparently filming the Japanese GP today, and the set was swarming with Japanese extras, some of whom apparently stormed off set when the artificial rain was turned on! They had not signed up to that!

I take it they film all weekdays? Im off this week so might wander over! Maybe a British born Chinese can pass for a Jap extra. Just casually walk through and see what happens. If anyone stops me I'll shrug my shoulders and in without laughing too much tell them I don't speak English lol
