Very nice, my ex-girlfriend used to have an S3 but found it a little too civilised for her liking, how do you find it?

Ive had it 6 month and I like its high speed capability, had some fun witha Porsche on the way to devon covered 20miles in 10 mins and found it to be very very capable.

It needs a little more power and the brakes although good, I think moving to brembo 4pots would transform the experience.

I can honestly see me moving to an RS4 next however a few years off, I may change the haldex for a sports one for more rear bias however not sure on this.

I like the fact it will do the 50mph slog to the office and the 150mph chase (on the continent of course officer...)

It has to be one of the best all rounder cars i know of and because people dont understand or recognise it you dont get grief from the chav brigade, or the police.

I usually see 30mpg on the work run and ave mid 20's on the long blast though you can achieve some pretty horible fuel figure if you really pushing.

Glad your pleased with it smile

Sounds very similar to my Mk V Golf GTI... was a great car and could multi-task very very well, just needed that bit more power to overcome the lardiness!

I drove my ex's Focus RS a little bit earlier this year and have to say I absolutely loved its 'hooligan-ness'!

Shame the S3 isn't *really* 4WD then...

I have:
  • 2004 Mazda RX8 daily driver looking a bit sorry for itself
  • 1991 Mazda MX5 in the garage awaiting fitment of various parts (1.8 engine next to it in the garage, GT2560R turbo and HiSpec brakes in the living room, adjustable ARBs in the spare room, etc.)
  • 1999 Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 on the drive with a bent conrod or 2 awaiting a 3.0 V6 from a 166 or GTV (after the MX5 is finished)
  • 2003 Aprilia RS125 in the living room awaiting an engine rebuild due to a knocking main or big end bearing.
One of these days I'll get back to having more vehicles on the road than off... boxedin

Blimey, you single then. I got in to trouble for having an exhaust and shock from my Z750 in the living room.

They're now safely tidied away in a cupboard waiting to be sold on ebay.

Welcome aboard wavey The SAS Christmas bash is coming up and there are the odd road trips from time to time. This Oxfordshire meet thread is brand new and we hope to have a meet sometime in the new year (or sooner if someone sorts something out).
