I think it's already pretty clear to most people hehe

Without having sat it one etc. I want (and have always liked) an S50 Z3M Coupe, I was going to go see one yesterday but the chap was out all day. I'll be arranging a test drive as soon as I can to see if I really want one or not.

This all depends however on how much I can get for my car / how quickly I can get it sorted so I can sell it etc. and when / if the right Coupe comes up.

A bread van eh? I didn't see that one coming. Nice car IMHO, but i do think they are a Marmite car.

Good luck with selling the car matey. I have discovered that the car buying public do not seem to have the same sense of common decency as the rest of us. I am sick to death of cleaning the Rangie, spending a couple of hours with some "chancer", test drives, promises, then... nothing.

And there was me thinking you did'nt like them (seem to recall a conversation where you said a Z4M would be much preferable - maybe I made that up!? confused)

I love them. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT

They come in "Gay" yellow too

rofl already had that conversation with at least a few people, I can't stand one of the yellows and can't stand any on the M Coupe.

I'd love a Z4M Coupe but there is no sensible way I could afford one.

I actually quite like the pale yellow on the M Coupe and E36 M3. Not sure I could own one though.

What does the S50 designation mean?

Means it'd be the earlier 321bhp car without TC or stability control whistle

Ah, you don't need that junk! Slows you down wink

I like the sound of one of the later ones with the E46 M3 engine. I'm sure they carry a premium however.

Technically it's only 4bhp more if the figures are believed (which is unlikely) and they come with all the wimp aids hehe

0-60 time is meant to be somewhere close to 5secs for either version so that'd do for me...

Not according to Evo. They figured one at 4.3 seconds.

Indeed - I hate all that - that is why no one is getting to drive mine when ready for sale. I'll show them (if I work out they are Serious - I can tell) what it can dowink And then when suitably amazed - if they ever want to own the thing they WILL HAVE TO BUY IT.

No tyre kickers / no no Pher;s and no no TVR ownerswink

Good luck Ben - talk more on it no dout tomorrow.

Well yes, both version are supposed to be some what quicker than BMW suggest, but the 4.3secs is the S54 right?

In reality, take a bad S50 and a normal S54 and the difference is some 40bhp, or even more. Even the best S50's only make about 310, where as the S54 easily makes its 325 book fig.

To be fair, the S50 in the E36 M3 was actually rated as 321PS, not BHP.
