Evening all,

I spent quite a while sat in a queue coming off the A3 Northbound at the Esher/Oxshott exit this afternoon. When the Police got us moving again, it became clear that the cause of the delay was a black Murcielago SV with the number plate PR05PER (yes, rather ironic) that was off the roundabout, facing the wrong direction, wrapped round a lampost and breaking up into more and more parts by the second as the recovery truck tried to pull it off. frown

Nobody on here, I hope? Given the amount of damage on what I assume was probably the least damaged side of the car, I'd be amazed if it wasn't a total write off....

Sad end to a quality car
However would like to think this would be a complete write off - destruction.
As you would not want to buy it and find out it's been used to modify street furnature

I saw the start of this happening on the Esher roudabout on sunday. I came off the A3 southbound, he was coming down from the Oxshott turnoff, pulled onto the roundabout behind me and was revving the nuts off it, then he floored it to overtake me. I pulled off towards Hersham and he carried on round towards the northbound A3 slip road. Next thing all I hear is screeching rubber, look right and see his tyres smoking as he was spinning clockwise and facing the wrong way.... I had no idea it ended so badly for him!

Dude was driving like an idiot though. Cold tyres, 600+horsepower, showing off = the above. I did have a giggle as i carried on.

why do idiot's destroy such beautiful cars, if your going to own a fast car learn how to treat it right or your going to learn how it will bite you in the arse.

I suspect part of it is down to all the electronic "driver aids". They're all well and good, but whilst they can make the most of the laws of physics, they can't actually break them, so they just move the point of failure far further up the catastrophe scale.
