Strangely though mine has a Ford 6000 unit with multichanger in the boot (2003 6 speed)
6 speed on an 03?The Ford 6000 was with the old style dash...
it does look more in keeping with the rest of the dash than the Sony unit though.
Forgot all about this thead, but:

Haven't got one, but it's right at the top of the list (by a considerable margin) when I need to replace the Escort in a few years
A few years (and a few other cars) later and I actually did it Pics here for those who haven't seen: http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a... Early Christmas Present&mid=63790
Thought it was about time to post some pics of my daily, a 2004 estate. Only covered 42,000 miles and its probably the best daily driver I've ever had. Fast, comfortable (the heated Recaro's are fantastic this time of year!) and looks fantastic. Oh, the the noise at 5000 rpm isnt bad either!
Hi all,
we've had our ST220 estate for about 7 months now and love it. Its a daily hack for my other half, 2 dogs and baby. The car is a lovely condition 02 model and as a load lugger it is superb. No point going on about the drive or comfort as you all know anyway!
I do have a few glitches to sort out though but will post them in another thread

Here's mine, slightly grubby.
Mine is a 2003 facelift, the Sony HU was the most common but some did have the later revised Visteon unit which was also fitted into the Mk2 Focus, completely different to the earlier black 6000.
Other changes included the change of wing mirror (again, same as Mk2 Focus), the deletion of the 2nd cold air feed to the air filter, as the 6 speed box was bulkier and had a different mount, no space for it, Ford in their wisdom did not blank off the box leaving a nice warm air feed instead..
Also, some did have the rubstrips, but they are very rare and disappeared after 53 platers. Some people don't like this fact, but i'm sorry to say its true, as many of the salesmen i work with sold these when they were new, i actually work with the guy that sold mine in 2003.
I like the look of them, and has saved many a car parking ding in my doors over the years.

And for sale in the classifieds funnily enough....
Seen that yesterday, looks brilliant. And for sale in the classifieds funnily enough....
Poor thing doesn't get used like it should hence the sale, most the boot carries is a weeks shopping - plus the Mrs finds it a bit much parking wise so point blank refuses to take the keys (all in her head I say).
Maybe back to a Impreza - wait and see if and when I get any takers...

In my Mondeo above the stereo it says phone, assume this doesn't 'just work' with any phone with bluetooth.
Also, the Nav is a mission to work, think I'll get a tom tom!
IF bluetooth is fitted, it does the phone. If not, it mutes it.Also, the Nav is a mission to work, think I'll get a tom tom!
Yes... the Sat Nav is a pain. What version of the discs have you got?
