mk2 Mondeo wheels.
Discussion
Hey all,
I'm between fast cars and bikes at the moment and have a m2 2.0 mondeo as a run around.
The car really is mint and has only covered 57k and I'm going to be keeping it for a bloody long time I hope as I can get my mountain bikes in it or on the bike rack plus its comfy, reliable,, cheap to run etc etc.
However, it does look bloody boring!!!!
I thought I may spruce it up a bit with some new wheels and maybe a little bit of lowering but I can't find anything thats suits it in the wheel dept!
I'm not trying to pretend the car is something that its not nor do I want anything that makes it look gash or chavvy just something to make it look a touch. . . erm [tiny] classier [/tiny]
I'm being careful with what I say as I don't want to get flamed for trying to spruce up a mondeo but I've seen many a similar sized passatt and audi with some understated 17 or 18" after market wheels and they look fab, I wanted to do something with the mondeo so I can atleast not vommit uncontrollably when I look at it.
Any suggestions?

Mondeo's are great, aren't they? Here's mine, sporting 'iccle 14 inch steelies with naff plastic covers (6" smaller than the Mustang wheels ). I just love the contrast!
As for replacing the Mondeo wheels, I agree that you'd be better off sticking with a set that originally came off a Mondeo. The ST220's are lovely, although the Ghia 16" are nice too.

The best way to avoid chav-ness is to stick to standard Ford items.

Agreed, stick to the Ford options.ST200 Wheels
ST220 Wheels
Note that the Mk1 and 2 Mondeos are 4 stud, the Mk3 is 5 stud (so no ST220 wheels).
You should be able to pick up 4x ST24 "turbine" wheels cheeply (16". Decent ST200 ones command a fair bit more.
Hey guys, some good suggestions. There's quite a few mk3 wheels i like but of course they're all 5 stud.
I did bid on some st200 wheels but they went over £200 so no to them too!
I'm now bidding at some Escort Coswroth style 16" 5 spokes. I like them!
With a 40mm drop they should make the car look alot better!
