1998 Ford Mondeo Estate 1.6
Discussion
Hi, I am new to this forum and this is my first post, I hope I can get my answer
My name is Jon, and I am currently working in the south of Germany for a while therefore have bought myself a cheap Ford Mondeo Estate to run about in.
as I am in the south of Germany the cars have to have special winter wheels and tyres due to the amount of snow.
My car currently has both winter wheels and tyres that will v-soon need changing. I have a set of Ford Alloys (I think origionally off an Escort GTi but am not 100% sure on this, which I think I have also seen on a few Mondeos).
The wheels are 16" and are wearing 215 / 40 ZR 16 Tyres.
My question is, will these wheels fit my 1998 Modeo Estate - 1.6??? I have read other reviews / spec sites that state they will fit mondeos, but the little 1.6 model is never mentioned, its always the 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5V6 models - therefore I wonder if there is any difference in the 1.6 model car???
Any help would be much appreciated,
Cheers,
Jon.

They should be fine, the suspension is the same setup on all mondeos with only spring rates and ride heights differing, I run 225/45 17"'s on mine with no problems. Only thing to check is that the alloys have the correct offset to prevent rubbing on full lock.My name is Jon, and I am currently working in the south of Germany for a while therefore have bought myself a cheap Ford Mondeo Estate to run about in.
