Just changed the air filter and fuel filter on a 1.8 TDCI focus. Think i might of forgotten to half fill the filter before refitting.
Any ideas on how to get the engine started?

Give it a tow and it will go. They are sods to fire up when the fuel filters have been changed.

A pal of mine uses easi-start, can't say I'm keen on the stuff myself.

Take the filter back off fill it up as much as possible with fuel (or a fuel cleaner additive) refit it and it should go after a bit of trying but dont just keep turning over non stop as it is easy to cook the starter motor. There is a special tool to do it but its about £250 from Ford.

Thanks guys got it started in the end. Had so much air in the lines I had to pour diesel into the injector pump lines until it Kicked over, then very quickl put the line back on to the fuel filter to try and force the air out. Worst one ever to sort out.
