Can anyone help smile

We have a 350 125 front wheel drive transit at work and we are having major problems with the rear brakes.

The garage we use tried replace them in the summer how ever fitted the wrong ones (pattern Parts) because it has a non standard rear axle.
They then tried to machine them to fit which didn't work and they finally fitted Ford supplied parts which seemed fine.

However it has now failed its MOT on rear brakes with the note saying unbalanced loading or something and the garage are saying its because we have an non standard rear axle and they have no idea what to do so the questions are does our van have a non standard rear axle? is it possible? why would it have one?

This is a history of the work done

23/08/2011

Fit New Rear Brake Shoes, wheel cylinders and brake drums.

24/08/2011

Adjust to stop pulsing through the brake pedal and sort soft pedal.

30/08/2011

Fit Modified Fitting Kit and Machine Drums to stop pulsing pedal and vibration.

23/09/2011

De-adjust brakes for load.

20/10/2011

Replace rear drums for ford parts.

12/01/2011

MOT Failed due to uneven loading on rear brakes.

Any ideas smile

Morning, just got your PM.

I can't really remember but this is what is on the invoice.

They fitted a new set of rear drums and shoes + a fitting kit which didn't work (have a feeling these were not Ford parts), they then sent the drums away to be machined, that didn't work either, 4000 miles later they fitted a O/E Modified fitting kit + New drums and shoes, which did work.

Hope that helps, unfortunately I don't have the part numbers for you.
