Programming fiesta key

Hi all, basically I have a 2005 fiesta with 1, 3 button key. I have just scrapped my 2001 Transit which also had a 3 button key, is it possible to get a new key cut for the Fiesta & use the 3 button remote from the Transit, can it be reprogrammed to the Fiesta or does the chip in the fob need to be replaced also.

If so anyone know how it's done.

Hi thanks for the reply, just to confirm that yes I could take out the fob from the key that works & put the fob from the transit & I could pair it straight away, can't seem to open that link but it's to eBay so is that for a fob or key blank?.

Not sure if Timpsons cut these blanks but if not I'll just down to Fords and get a key cut, just trying work out if it's an easy thing to pair up the transit fob.

Ah ok, understand now, have done a quick search on Google & found a video of turn the ignition on & off 4 times etc a I was hoping it was just a case of doing that to get transit fob & chip to work.
