Firstly, let me apologise as I'm probably asking a question thats been asked / answered many times, but I have a slightly different twist.

I'm doing around 400 miles of M'way driving a week, but quite fancy an ST, so.......sitting at a non-license losing speed, what have people been getting mpg-wise?

I can handle the not-too-great-but-what-do-you-expect around town economy (or lack of), and the obvious enjoying-yourself consumption if I could balance that out during the M'way grind of virtually no traffic (I travel at 5am ish)....

Cheers, here's hoping you can help me part with the cash.

I've driven a Leon FR TDi 170 and to be honest, couldn't work out why they'd let it out of the factory with no suspension. The bump absorbtion was just shocking. It just felt like it was hitting the stops all the time and even small ridges felt as if I'd driven over a kerb at speed. Couldn't live with it.

then to be honest the ibiza's not worth considering as just as bad, it is the one thing i would like to change about the car, was looking at changing the suspension to progressive coilovers but apparently main problem lies with the 40 section tyres so would be a waste of money.
I've got a TDi 150 on hire at the moment and thats just as bad. On anything but a smooth road I find myself cringing when I come to bumps. A real shame as I like the look of them, but they don't come with a back-doctor so I'll have to go with something else.
