Simple question really - which cars could replace the TVR experience in terms of price, thrills, exclusivity, useability etc. You may, for the purposes of this challenge, include second hand cars, but rusty old classics are excluded.

Still be saving for an Ultima... Vvvvvrrrrrooooommmmmmm

DC

Edit to say...

Bugger, missed the bit about usability, so I guess it would have to be something like a Lancia Integrale or even an RX 7...

A Ronart Lightning. www.ronart.co.uk

It is a Targa top car

And the important bit, a big V8.

For like money I'm afraid it would have to be some form of Porsche, either Boxster S or second hand turbo.

Edited to say...whoops how could I forget the Noble!

Marcos TS500. Loosely based on a Rover V8, 320BHP, lightweight. Sounds a bit like a Griff.

Not sure on the interior though.

Depends with price point we go for, £10k Chimaera money or new T350?
Middle ground is probably a BMW M Coupe

Phew - dunno.

Can't really see myself driving anything else now I've owned one.....

Triumph TR6? No - I'd stick to bikes!

Probably a Porsche 911 or a Nissan 350/Skyline. Very different I know ...

Or maybe an M3 if I turned boring

Have to say the Marcos does look very nice... or maybe a Noble.

My decision when buying recently was between a Tuscan or a (965) 911 Turbo 2.

I think for performance, looks, presence etc I would have to buy a Countach or Diablo next to compare, but then I wouldn't be able to drive anywhere as could not afford the running costs.

Defintely , the Porker, air cooled of course, 993 4S. For sheer looks, engineering excellence, performance, quality etc. etc. etc. and not a bad deal on the 2nd hand market right now.
