New TVR still under wraps!

... hopefully someone will get some photos and be the first to show it's appearance
Have you read any of these posts? We have been asked not to do this by the bloke who is doing his best to resuscitate the TVR marque that we care about. Why would any of the deposit-holders go and then break their agreement? It would seem, to me at least, to show poor values if someone does. Be patient, once the reveal has taken place, the motoring press will get some info' to publish. V6Pushfit said:
Latest email from Les this evening reinforces this point and explains what will be shown..........."..I hope you understand why we have to be somewhat careful with signed NDAs, camera bans etc - it's supposed to be a special, private reveal to you, not the rest of the world, acknowledging your early support for our efforts. We want it to be as personal as we can make it, given the large uptake. On the day we very much look forward to showing you the final full-size exterior model, interior styling, technical underpinnings and a host of other detail including our performance targets, pricing structure, production schedule and details about the public launch later in the year where you will be able to see, feel and hear a running car. Having spent significant time on discussing and reviewing the full-size exterior over the past weeks, I can safely say that I believe we have designed a car worthy of bearing the TVR name - in all respects.
I look forward to seeing you at the reveal,
With best wishes
Les"
Fair request in my view.

Yep I agree. I look forward to being striped down naked and hosed down, and given an Orange Jump suit to wear before i go into my reveal Session. The first reveal sounds exciting and barely 10 days away now. Can't understand those who want to abuse the request to keep schtum for the time being. It's nobody's prerogative to pee on Les's parade. Wish I was on the list. If anyone wants a passenger...

Still only a model after all this.
To the general public, yes. I'm sure one or two test mules have been hacked around and a 'final car' will be very close by now. It WILL have been tested to death, mechanically and visually. I understand the desire to keep details quiet until they're completely ready to announce stuff. If it's not right, they know they'll be pilloried. If nothing is 'out there' then they have cart blanche to tweak 'til it's right - with no loss of face. At the end of the day it's pretty good publicity too, behaving in this way. Personally I think TVR have the right approach.pb450 said:

+1 AbsolutelyPerhaps PH or the TVRCC should set up an invitation-only forum for the insiders to discuss what they've seen in private? They could even be issued passwords at the event for this purpose.
I do agree that the deposit holders should be treated to the preview for showing their commitment.

Why ????? I don't see it of any benefit to PH and if TVRcc wish to do it then discuss it there I do agree that the deposit holders should be treated to the preview for showing their commitment.
Sadly , other than buying the TVR badge , I still don't see anything I regard as being TVR .

Maybe my expectations are far too high, but with all of the slippage so far, I would have thought that a real vehicle for depositors to view at this stage is an absolute minimum to maintain credibility. If all you've managed to put together is another model, then delay the reveal until there is something more tangible. Maybe this is designed to lock in the depositors now, before a real car exists. As for the car parking at a school, this is contrary to the late December announcement about plenty of parking at GMD, encouraging people to bring their TVR, official photo opportunity etc. Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
