...As for the car parking at a school, this is contrary to the late December announcement about plenty of parking at GMD, encouraging people to bring their TVR, official photo opportunity etc.

At what point do the dipositeers have to commit to a purchase and not get their deposit back?
Is it when they see this model or when they can sit in and drive the actual car?
If they can't provide you with one to drive, they can't possibly expect you to sign a legally binding purchase order ? I would expect they would get nearly 100% refusal !!!!Is it when they see this model or when they can sit in and drive the actual car?

Their accounts are interesting...
More than one company by the look of it. Couldn't see anything out of the ordinary though. You can pretty much figure out what was paid for the TVR name (I think). Other figures are probably a combination of investments and deposits etc. Not entirely clear about the goodwill valuation in certain respects but is this just development costs. I was expecting to see 100% write off of investment but I'm out of date on such matters from a reporting point of view.RedSpike66 said:

Look what Fittipaldi and his first class partners have created. Not sure how long they've worked on this, but this thing is a beautie and also comes with its own engine developed by AMG.

It certainly does show what can be done when it comes to delivering an affordable sports car for the road. https://www.motorsport.com/automotive/news/emerson...

That is what I was wondering. I remember (I think on this thread) there being a cut off point. It would be a big ask for people to commit without seeing a completed car. I guess as part of their agreement it must be in writing somewhere.
I guess we are going to see a completed car (model), not runnable though. I don't care if it has an engine in or transmission built-in on the reveal as we are not going to drive it there and it definitely WILL have those when it is finally going to be delivered. If they had everything in place, then why push a public reveal to later this year ?As for being able to drive one before you commit, that's realistically not going to happen imho. At least not for the deposit holders as it would be a huge organizational effort to get that done. It would also mean having no finalized orders before production begins which would impact supply-chain etc. If that is a showstopper for people, they would have to pull their deposits and wait until reviews/tests/testdrives are publicly available and get back in the queue then. This is risk-free and i can understand if some decide to step back and wait. Committing is the only way to get the launch edition, though.
All in all they should be aware of all this and do their best to make sure that buyers can make an informed decision. I also expect the immediate feedback they get during the reveal to have an impact on the cut-off point. If the majority threatens to pull their deposits due to incomplete information, they sure will rethink their strategy. If all is good, which i hope, they will follow their plan. Anything else would not really make sense economically. As for the delays, it's not unheard of that projects of this size suffer from the occasional delay

Is there a price mentioned.. Pinifarinia and a 600bhp NA bespoke engine probably don't equal affordable.. bullittmcqueen said:

Maybe on the day(s) there'll be some pleasant surprises that haven't been revealed yet....

Apologies I didn't mean that to sound negative. If the numbers are as good as they are suggesting (and apart from the final price I can't see why they shouldn't be) I'm sure it'll be a good tool. I was just thinking that's a huge trust if you have to commit your deposit after seeing this mock up before at least seeing a finished car. It's a very shrewd move though because if they get bad feedback it won't be too late to modify before making the finished model for general press and public release.

Sorry, my bad, not a native speaker. No offense taken. You are right, it will depend on overall impression and presentation how it's going to work out. Something under wraps will not suffice But Les wrote that during the public reveal one will at least be able to hear it and see it drive. It's my unfounded impression that they will postpone final commit-cut off til then.Maybe on the day(s) there'll be some pleasant surprises that haven't been revealed yet....
