I don't suppose they have the auto breakers and part supply of Ford, British Leland etc over there either in order to support older models...
Plenty of individuals have managed to export classic TVR's to the States, Oz etc. Just check out the international TVRCC's on the web. I agree that it doesnt really fit in with their log term goals (do they have any?) but there is a bit of history between TVR and the US and it would be nice to make people like 'Unlicensed' happy once again.
Dont forget, one could easily argue that the current TVR brand of British muscle cars (thats what they are) was first created by Jack Griffith in the US.

Think loon is winding us up.
Obviously a time waster.
Don't make me send you to the Sin Bin loon.
Come on peeps, surely that was obvious from the first post. Who's going to RR a brand new performance car without it being run in? Besides, for such a car you'd also show the full results.
I must say though, TVR are now starting to produce some very naughty cars, T440R and T350R, that are really justifying the move from a V8 to an S6.
Edited to add; Luca, I will have some photo's of my new carbon fibre dash with the aluminium panel tomorrow. Can I send them to you to post? What file size should they be?
Thanks, Dave.

Which dealerships are closing?
I've seen a couple of different dealers stop carrying TVRs over the years including one fairly recently (Hawthorne's) but they aren't "closing" as you say and it isn't unusual for any car dealer, especially a small-volume firm like TVR, to reorganize their dealer network from time to time. I've also seen TVR open up a few new dealers over the years as well.
Don't mean to make a fuss about this but you seemed to be implying that TVR is somehow slipping or losing ground and I don't think that's a fair interpretation of events.
Unlicenced/Jam, etc,
Old RV8 was USA legal but issue is bigger than engine emissions ref: USA sales. Crash regs are different and even Low Vol manufacturer's have to cover part of the regs. Fuel system Evaporations is a big deal (I don't think Current Tiv's have evaps systems). And as well as the Emissions the cars have to have full Engine Diagnostics on-board i.e. OBD which the current electronics cannot support. The obvious other deal is the Legals ref: consumers and such things as lemon laws in relation to reliability - I understand that this (reliability/warranty)is what nearly killed TVR after there last drive to the USA hence Peter's natural reticence to go again. I'm sure it'll happen as the S6 becomes more reliable and the cars in general are becoming more mainstream production like (roll protection in screen, etc, etc).
