Presume your joking?

The Road Angel is a GPS 'detector'. It knows the location of all fixed cameras (gatso, specs, truevelo etc) and calculates your position using GPS, alerting you when you approach a fixed location it knows of.

The laser alert add-on is a waste of space. If you want protection from laser devices you need a laser jammer.

www.radar-detector-shop.co.uk sell the RA, jammer and adapter kit to link the two together. I've been using one for 6 months and its thumbs up so far!

I too can recommend the Road Angel, and the service from www.radar-detector-shop.co.uk.

One guy previously said, "why not use an ipaq with GPS", I am looking at doing it the other way. Apparently you can link the Road Angels GPS function with AutoRoute on an ipaq to provide Sat Nav.

RA sits nicely on top of steering column in my Chimaera

I paid £340 for my RA, which has the laser alert. Got it from Halfords. They price matched.

Am I right in thinking that the RA will detect mr Plod standing at the side of the road with his 'magic wand' as well as fixed cameras?
