Far from it, but if you don't own something you either credit it, or ask if you can use it.

Made Clive F's Sagaris on Forza Horizon. Just a shame you can't paint the standard wheels otherwise it would have been spot on.

Please don't think I'm speaking ill of the dead but Peter Wheeler certainly appeared to be one of those incredibly energetic and enthusiastic entrepreneur type personalities who built TVR into a minor icon ... however unfortunately he also built it into a position where it simply could not ever possibly hope to continue as it was and to make the transition into a "modern" car would have required a paradigm shift in the cars, the factory and the workforce as well as one hell of a lot of investment in new tools (development tools I mean, not spanners), new production techniques, new safety equipment and a resultant diluting of the TVR "DNA"...

I'm sure that we would have all made TVR "work" if we'd had the chance (just like my dad could manage his favourite football team to victory in every match if he had the chance) but at the end of the day Smolenski was sold a fish that had been landed for a few days, had glassy eyes and was at best "on the turn".

Or - more succinctly - an ex-parrot.

He just hadn't realised that it was already dead. biggrin
I couldn't agree more with all of that and can't hold any ill will to either of them. One gave us TVR as many know and love but failed to move it forward into the 21stC, the other had the right ideas but lacked the experience, money and class to do so.

That is SO not funny, Typhon boy wink

If you're up for a blat sometime we'll see if your legendary TVR can hold its own against a lowly 'Chimp' wink

Suspect that might be a whole lotta fun smile (and I'll bring my mates... Pete? Alex? Nigel? Phil? Anthony? Richard? Neal? etc etc wink)

Griffs excluded except for Beaver and Angry Jock smile

Indeed. Us fixed head Tiv guys should stick together. wink

The car's going to get tucked away for winter any time soon but if we get a little dry spell then a quick run out to somewhere like the Two Brewers or the Boot would be fun.

I'll even buy a pint to apologise for all the abuse. biggrin
