What a great turnout.

Big thanks to all at Austec for their hospitality today, watching the cars on the rolling road made 'interesting' viewing.

Had a nice run home to Bromley, via Brighton..well we had to drop Tweety off.

Hope eveyone got back OK, & all those Sunday roasts weren't ruined by your late arrival home.

Yep - I second that too! Thanks to Paul, Michael and the guys and mel. The rolling road was certainly interesting and I think confirmed I'd done a reasonable job with the engine re-build!

Steve and I enjoyed our visit to Austec this morning. It was great to see Roger and Violent Violet again. Had to disappear due to a prior engagement.
Well done to all involved.

Keith did you manage to get it on the road in the end then , what figures did you get, tell all . Felt a little sad for the 500 not making even standard (real 500) figures today, hope it's cheap fix.
Thanks to Paul and Mick for a good day out the most V8S's I think I've seen in one day .
I know pies took lots of pics , hope to see them hosted soon, hope he got some of the the chassis of that L plate one, something else that, hats off to the guy for keeping it so if only I'd stop driving mine for a while and get under the car for a change, then again I don't think it will or has ever been as smart as that one.

Harry, I managed to get mine on in the end, 215 bhp @ 5400 rpm and 240 lbft at 4200 rpm. Hows that compare with yours? Apologies for the cross-posting!

Well..............stil not happy with the car and its difficult to compare directly but had 208 at the wheels corrected to 238 flywheel, Torque curve looked horrible though at 237.
The wheel figure was pretty much there and the corrected bit is different everywhere you go so all in all a good day.
Your 215 is very good for a 4ltr, in fact the top end of standard IMHO did any other 4 ltrs get on, if so did you note the figures . The 500 with a correct 233 must be booking himself in as we speak, hope all goes well, there for the grace....go I.......etc

One other 4 litre I know of - Norman's Chimeara (with the hollow exhaust!!). Unfortunately didn't get to speak to him in detail afterwards - it sounded good and loud on full chat though, just like mine!
