Sorry, must agree on the S2000, even my other half says it's to girly for her! the M3 is looking very popular at the moment, does anyone hear own one?
if so, does it share the same 'characteristic' as the rest of the E46 3 series range ie. engine hunting whilst held at certain throttle positions? we had a 325ci and could'nt wait to get rid of the car for this so called 'Characteristic'.

Mine runs perfect.

Love the banter and sugestions guys, it's good to get yer views, keep em comin.

Out of that lot

M3

Out of interest, why not a Noble?

I should have pointed out in my original post that I'm going to move more toward a little more luxury with this next car, hence the choices being so different to the Chimaera, I really don't think anything could compete with that package pound for pound, plus we're going traveling around europe more these days so something geared for getting caught in heat waves would be good (AC and lecy roof).

Cheers, Nik

m3 saloon has ac and leccy roof too.

Bit late with this but, so what? Great choice pvapour - that would be mine too (in that price range). Might have been swayed by a 456M if available for the dosh - but no roof-off motoring!

How can a M3 saloon have a leccy roof? - sunroof? I didn't like the "thrashy" ride of the M3 I borrowed, but it was quite rapid. Also It sounded like it had loose exhaust baffles - too "tinny". IMHO of course.
