I WAS THERE!!!!
and proud to be a part of such a well organised and well attended event. Still can't believe the workforce cheered and clapped US.
Had to shoot off after two factory passes, sad to have missed the gathering at the Red Lion, but Elvis the Beagle and I had a fab day. Thank you all.
Please can anyone direct me to photo's of the event?
Cheers! Rik.

Just got back. Not had time to read all the posts yet but I will later. I'll stick a post up later explaining why some of the arrangements had to be changed at short notice. I'll detail how much money was collected and how it was spent.

From a original idea from hormone I have produced the A3 print as below, thought it would be nice to put them on the cars when parked at the factory, if deemed appropriate by Dave Chant (NTEL) I would be happy to bring enough for all the cars,.

Just a thought.

I would also like to thank Dave (NTEL) for all the hard work he and others have put in to ensure this event happens.

Never did get one of those flags, I guess I was too far back in the park up.
Do you have any left? I'd like to keep one in my car for a while to remind people of what is happening.

Hi Brian,
You might already have thought of this, but if you click on the flag, you will be able to save it to your own computer, and print it off.
Hope this helps

just to echo what everyone else has said and that it was truly a memorable day.

although I didn't take the TVR, for several different reasons, I was glad I made the effort to go and to meet the guys and girls that made these gorgous cars that we all love, and to show my appreciation.

I was chatting with loads of the workers and it was great listening to their stories of what goes on and who did what, even managed to chat to the guy who most probably sprayed my cerbera

one lady I was talking to had been there for 20yrs and her husband for 15yrs and was good friends with all of the workers and their families. Like we have our TVR community amongst the owners, they have theirs too.

I found it a very emotional day, from seeing all the cars lined up on the promenade, to being applauded outside the factory, then again seeing a carpark full of TVRs, and chatting to some of the workers and for them to be thanking us, what a nice group of people they were and a great atmosphere in the pub.

big thanks to mr and mrs Ntel thumbup

edited cause i forgot to say a big thanks to Phil in the cascade copper Tuscan, without him I'd never had got to the factory and pub, thanks for the ride it was truly a pleasure thumbup

As per everyone else a big thanks to Mr and Mrs NTEL, Mike for leading the way from Tebay Services and the kind Lady at the Factory who pointed me in the right direction back to the hotel.. would have posted some photos, however unfortunately all batteries were flat on arrival!?

To pull this off was an amazing success.. in so many similar situations in the past, initial emotions, and thoughts for action, fade away over time - but not in this case. This says a lot about TVR, its followers and the workers and I was proud to be part of it.. Count me in for any future events that may offer any further support...

Well, WHAT A DAY! spin What a great crowd of good people clap And what a privilege to be part of it all! bow

For me, the whole atmosphere of the day was a true representation of the TVR 'spirit'. A spirit for which the BRITISH are renowned. This is why TVR will always be British for me -it has those special ingredients added by the people who create the cars and the passion added by the people who drive them.

As I drove by the factory and saw the workers from TVR grouped outside clapping and cheering, I was a little overwhelmed, the tears welled up and I wanted to jump out and hug them all! (But as I was driving, taking pictures, clapping and cheering all at the same time already, I couldn't get out of the car!)

Despite the course of events that lead us up there on Friday I believe it was a 'great day for TVR'.

So to all the TVR workers, THANK YOU, good luck for the future and remember, whatever happens next, you have your place in history already! bow clap rotate

I think it's a great thing you're doing clap bow It brings a lump to the throat, tear to the eye etc. I'd like to be a part of it but I must content myself with the thought that many of you will be sitting on leather I bought when I worked there, so I will be there in spirit, sort of....!!!

Remember chaps, don't drink and drive, you'll only spill it.

See you all on the news later!

Come to "Big bad Wedge Fest 2007" The BBQ is on us bow

Thanks dickymint, I might just do that!

Friday's event was superb, touching, emotional- well done everyone concerned, especially ntel, and thanks- I think I should buy shares in Kleenex after watching the news! clap bow
