Just found a copy of Evo - WOW!

Evo has the best snappers in the business. The Tuscan R looks gorgeous.

It was my first time at Le Mans and Harry Metcalfe's words really bring the memories flooding back. Le Mans was a totally amazing experience. The Tuscan R just made it even more bizarre.

Cheers Evo

Evo was right about the Tuscan R getting upstaged by the Pagani Zonda. Mind you, the Pagani does kind of look like an alien artifact.

Flasher's Tamora was totally upstaged.
Poor sod had to keep people from resting on the back of the Tamora while they oggled the Tuscan R and the Zonda.

EVO mistakes?
Cost £75,000? Grabs latest TVR price guide erm price is shown as being £69,995.
They also say that PW has not actually driven the car yet, so who was the body double at Back Home Any comments?
They do mention that the exhaust system at the back of the car will be redesigned including the current tailpipes, which is a good thing. Besides the performance and handling appear to indicate a decent step forward. Power to the people.

So here we are TVR. The first car where the suspension and handling match the performance.

Big step forward guys !!!

Hi there AP Smith - You're absolutely right re. the Evo 4wd versus brawny rwd TVR type experience: the Jap stuff does make you feel invincible which is often a bad thing: I never had any probs with the old 928s or Cerby but I knew the EVO would eventually end in tears - like your Scooby situation by the sounds...
No, I totally agree. I was really just making the point about the (almost!) physics-defying grip!

It's obviously, that TVR will show at least one new modell at the Motorshow. They usually do that.

Sorry, I couldn't tell you more at the moment ...

I saw the Tuscan-R at Goodwood today. It does look quite dramatic in the flesh and slightly better than the photos, but for me there were no real shocks (pleasant or otherwise) seeing it "for real" after the various magazine photos (Sprint, AutoCar, EVO, Pistonheads, etc.)

I also saw it today at the FoS, it certainly is 'dramatic', which I think is the desired effect. I agree that in the flesh it is better than the photo's, which is not always the best thing as some/most will go and view a car or book a test drive after having seen pictures first.
I'm not so sure about the rear lights, much prefer the cluster that was on the the back of the Eclipse GTO Tuscan R at the club stand.

Quite amazing considering it was besides some of the most exotic machinery money can buy it was getting most of the attention , or was it most of the people there were from the TVRCC and wanted to see the car .

Either way I think it was possibily the best PR venue the car could ever attend, certainly for potential clients anyway. Ben did it proud twitching the tail out on the first bend apparently yesterday in the wet sub 2K revs were required at all times to keep it on the black stuff
Anyone else hear the car at tickover, I'm not sure if it was the high background noises but it sounded sweeter than other S6 engines I've heard, ie the loose bag of nails has been put away
