Unfortunately I wont make this meet since I will be on a RideDrive airfield day.
Well, not that unfortunate then!

If Im coming back through early enough I will detour across to meet you all.

I'll be leaving from Winchester so if anyone wants to meet for a run up the Glorious A36, please let me know.

There is a very good route for you crusty.
Head towards Stockbridge and then towards Salisbury Plain.
Brilliant roads all around there. Spent a whole day exploring them recently.

yep, I went exploring in those parts recently and agree with DustyC - some great TVR roads

I will try and come along but looks like it will be in the Rover unless I can grab a lift in the S...

Yeah, are you coming in from the Romsey road??
There's loads of room in the main street, anywhere along there would be OK

If the Main street is busy the very first pub is called the White Hart. (Almost right on the First Roundabout).
Assuming its closed in the mornings (likely) then there is space for about 12 -15 cars at a guess.

A few nice pubs for food if you are stopping on the way back too. We drive up to Stockbridge a fair bit.

Dont forget to take some bread for the ducks and trout

Mayfly's great. Good size car park as well. Also Fox and Hounds at Crawley and The Plough at Sparsholt....Both just off the A36, could (read will )be tempted on the way back

Got me confused - do you mean A30. A36 is dull So'ton Salisbury road. A30 is Basingstoke/Salisbury via Stockbridge road.

www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.069&lon=-1.7159&scale=200000

oh the bar-stewarts have made the climb to the west of Stockbridge single track now- which reduces ones options on the first bend

You're right David, A30 . I used to travel to Bath allot on the A36 and forgot it starts at Salisbury and not Winchester.
