Found the problem with the wind noise on my Cerbera. When the passenger window is 'closed' it is about 10mm short of going all the way into the rubber at the top of the window. So even though there is no gap, there is not a complete seal. Can the window be adjusted to go up further? Is this mechanical or electronic?

Cheers,

Rob

Controller need a software upgrade to increase the window lift time. Talk to TVR. Commonly needed with better seals.

Bugger, is this something that Fernhurst will have as a specialist? So is there no chance of just manually adjusting the window mechanism as per Chim and Griff?

I don't know....

The mechanism uses a microcontroller to work out when it should be lowered and raised. Normally the problem of the unit stopping short is caused by the controller not allocating enough time for the window to rise. With new seals, the window moves slower due to the increased friction and can stop short. This is well known (to those that know it and that should include the dealers) and the controller needs a software upgrade.

Sometimes it can very confused. It only has a lickle brain after all. Probably big enough to have navigated Apollo to the Moon abd back but not to cope with the intricies of a Cerbera window. On mine, locking the car with the remote will cause the window to lift back up and the thing doesn't get confused.

Ah, sorry, I should have added that it appears to have reached the end of it's travel i.e. even with door closed and operating the windows via the button, it will not go up any further. I think I'll take the trim off and have a look later.

Cheers,

Rob

Rob, Thanks for the blast Saturday, truly memorable. Will definately be looking for an early Chim or Griff or maybe a Westfield Seight late summer after we've mooved in and i've cleared the garage out.
See you soon
