Hi,

I've been contacted by the BBC Top Gear office who need to get owners of Rover V8 powered TVRs to bring their cars to the filming of an item for the programme to be held at the Gaydon Heritage & Motor Museum on Saturday 3rd July.

I now have enough Chims and Griffs (somewhat unsurprisingly!) and a V8S, but still need (from the BBC's list):

1 x 390
1 x 400
1 x 420 SEAC

If you are interested, please contact me off-list using webmaster@tvrcc-eastmidlands.co.uk.

Cheers,

Keith

Not very bloody bright are they? Ten miles up the road and there's a field full.

Too many people all having a good time for the Beeb, I'm afraid.

Now if we terrorise the area, they would be interested then.

I did point out PF was down the road, but something about the fact they've got the set booked, blah, blah.

No idea on when it's to be aired. I will find out more and report back....

OK, all places now filled!!

Can I just say thanks a million to those who responded so quickly. My email inbox is clogged with photos, descriptions, but no bribes.

Apologies to all those who I have had to turn down. I used first come, first served so as someone else pointed out, you had to be quick. I'll get some more details and pictures and post back a report.

Cheers,

Keith

How about we all convoy to the set and drive passt anyway! They are sure to film haundreds of TVRs all passing at the same time.

It would be a great think to see on Top Gear.

What sort of time shall we do it?

I'll start planning it out if its gonna work.

Now that is a good idea - do we know the exact times and place for the filming? If so we might just "happen" to be in the area and wander through..... would be a shame not to eh?

They would at least hear us!

Top gear people. Do you fancy us doing a long drive by in our TVR caterpillar (convoy) for the cameras?

Its gotta be worthy of a shot.

Tiv convoy, great idea but stick to what TVR cars do best, blast by at anything from 100mph early classic to God knows what for the latest, all on a test track.
