I changed my Engine fan fuse the other day , not sure why it blew, but it did and I replaced the 25A fuse from some I had kicking about ( not sure of make) . Back to normal now though.smash
I thought today I would top up on some spare fuses from my old friend Amazon when I came across this 120 fuse pack. Seemed good value until I read the slightly alarming reviews about the fuses not protecting to the current stated.confused
Could it be just that particular make or are all cheap car fuses worth avoiding ?. Being a sparky myself you would expect me to have some knowledge on the subject but auto electrics is not my strong point.
The item is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toolzone-120pc-Mini-Blade-...

if you copy that into your address bar you should see it.type
This could be of some interest to some of you guys who have one of these packs.
Can anyone can recommend a make or supplier of car fuses ? I would be grateful.
Regards , Stu.thumbup

Those are the mini version of the standard blade type, is that what you need?

My car use the standard size.

Ive replaced all mine with the glow type so that when/if a fuse blows it shows you which one by lighting up. Particularly useful when trying to work in the footwell of the Chimaera.

Edited to add picture, left to right, maxi / standard / mini.

Ah, good spot Andy i hadnt noticed the "mini" silly me . Mine are the regular blade types same as you. I like the idea of a glow-fuse though for easy identification.
Where did you get them from ?.

I got mine from Halfords - they do a set of 30 fuses for about £15 (or rather less if you have a trade card).
