injury track day - P+P
Discussion
Im sorry to say that having searched al the sites / threads I cannot find anyinfo re the health of the unfortunate passenger at Pembrey track day
A green 3000m from yorkshire had a massive slide into the tyred earth bank and the passenger had to be cut out - there are so many people wishing him / her the best but no info
The track day was brought to an abrupt but sensible end
and we all left feeling a little sickened for the poor soul who is rumoured to be one of the instructors
Any info gratefully received
and my thoughts go with driver and passenger

Hi folks, In one of my other lives I am the CMO at Pembrey circuit (Just spent the last w/e there at the historic touring car meet). I'm a bit puzzled about the TVR track day, because I saw reference to it recently but wasn't aware that there was one on (I'm not usually involved with track days as these are generally covered by the paramedics)and when I asked one of the circuit staff about it at the w/e it drew a blank. I'm going to be speaking to the circuit manager tomorrow so I'll make some enquiries and post any feedback that I get.
If I'd known about the track day I'd have been there.

Communication not getting through to you either, then?
This was advertised months ago. At least five.
Fair question but my personal opinion on pics of other peoples accidents is not to post - you don't know what personal reasons he might have for not wanting the world and his dog to see his P&J in this state.
If the owner wants to post a pic later of course that's his call, and speaking as one who was there yesterday also - it's fantastic news to hear that driver and passenger came through it OK.

It was Adrian's car, apparently on the kink on the back straight away from the hairpin. Think his brother in law John, was the passenger. Both are traveling home now as we speak. Both are TVRCC Esholt regulars.
did he hit the inside or outside of the track.
a common error there is to drop an outside wheel onto the grass and then spin into the tyres on the inside.
One of the Tasmin race cars was destroyed in practice doing that this year.
Hope all in the M are ok

Adrian and John are both bruised, but fine. John says his most painful bruises are under his arms where they lifted him out of the car!
The circuit emergency crew were on the scene in seconds, very impressive.
I took one pic, but it was from a distance. Dave, Adrian and John were asking for pics, so if you could send them to me at alex.roebuck@ubs.com, I will pass them on.
P.S. I was in the white Integra.

Hi, it's John here who was in the passenger seat.
You'll be pleased to know that apart from a few bruises, and a splitting headache, I'm fine. As is Adrian the driver.
I was KO'd for half an hour and they cut the roof off the car to assist getting me out as delicately as possible. I was taken on the spinal board to Carmarthen Hospital for a thorough cehckout, and x-ray of some suspicious ribs - all clear.
Thanks for all your concern. I'm sure you'll join me in thanking all the circuit staff and paramedics for doing such a wonderful job in sorting us out as quickly as they did. Very Impressive.
I look forward to seeing pics of the car, and once again marvelling at how 2 people walked away from a 90mph crash in a 25 year old handbuilt car.
Take care and thanks again
