Was just driving my Cerbie along the embankment in Bedford. A lad saw me go past - jumped into his really, really old rusty Morris Minor. He followed me to a dual carriageway where he opened her up. Wow - what speed from a Morris Minor. Judging by the noise it most certainly had a large V8 under the hood. It shot off at a ridiculous rate and it took me a few seconds to catch up with it and had to exert considerable right foot pressure to keep ahead.

Was funny - his car looked like it had just been dredged up from the bottom of a lake it was so dirty. I estimate he must have had it over 120mph at one stage. It was one of those traveller types with the wooden struts in the cabin.

Certain amount of respect is due.

There used to be one of them taking part in hill climbs back in the 80's. Remember reading the exploits in Motoring news or simular. Fast car.

Nick Mann had probably the most afmous V8 powered Minor - was turbocharged (single turbo I think too). he could pedal it quite quickly teehee.
