Austec offers Speed Six fettling

Liberate more horses from your TVR

Austec Racing is offering remapping services to owners of the TVR Speed Six engine.

Austec's Paul Austin says he's spent considerable time delving into the engine management system of the TVR Speed Six unit in his own Tamora to determine what the potential of the TVR ECU is. He says he's now confident he knows how to fine-tune Speed Six-engined cars.

On his own car he's managed to obtain some more power - something he's about to verify on an independent rolling road after obtaining encouraging figures on Austec's own facility.

So Austec now wants to hear from owners of Speed Six-engined cars who'd like their cars fettled in a similar manner.

Excellent I know Paul can't resist cracking and tweeking ECU's. Be very intersting to see what the 'up lift' was . Any idea of when the 'independant verification' of figures is going to happen .

what cars are they targetting Tim? .. the airboxes are all different so I guess you're making a generic sp6 replacement which will fit across the board?

Will be interesting to see the results, the sp6 cars have massive filtration area (waaay more than they'll ever use, probably flows enough for 500bhp) so I would think you're concentrating on the induction lengths?

take a look inside the cerbera sp6 airbox to see how tvr tackled the induction length on that car (about the only thing on the car that actually looks designed for a proper purpose!)

Hi Joolz
Been playing with the Tamora airbox, not creating a new one, yes the filter is flippin massive, i know the Cerbera airbox is very different, and i guess Tuscan to ? I'm still a new boy to these.
should have dyno results next week, Paul is already finding more power with the fuelling.

Steady on if he carries on like this he'll be poached to do the S6 chip tailoring for the factory cars too .
, then he won't have time to service and fettle my motor .
