Don't panic Ted, this is a pat on the back.

[longstory]
I bought my Cerbera from them about 6 weeks, the specification of the car included TVR's close ratio gearbox, which, in general with all their close ratio gearboxes, had some issues, as the gear teeth on certain gears didn't mesh properly resulting in rapid deterioration. So, TVR contracted the work back out to make these new gears for the new boxes, which meant waiting for this work to be completed.

In the mean time I had a standard 4.5 gearbox fitted, which had an almost unusable 2nd gear. All this I knew when I purchased the car, and didn't have any grumbles as it was driveable.

I am a bit of a bastion for good service, especially after sales, but rarely get it, so when it does come; with out hassling or nagging, I think it is worth mentioning.

During the time it took to get the gears made, through to the actual completion of the work, The TVR Centre were very helpful and informative and only a phone call away for almost daily updates (thanks Emma) on my eagerly anticipated gear box. They told TVR that my current gearbox was dodgy and made sure I was one of the first (if not the first) in-line for the new ones when they were available.

Once the time came for it to be fitted, I also mentioned that at speed, the car had started to shake a little, probably the wheels needing balancing.

The suspension also clunked a bit when I went over speed bumps (which I have plenty of up my road) but thought this was normal, so didn't even mention this to them.

Anyway... picked up the car yesterday (after only 1 day and half a morning in the shop) the gearbox was in, and having had a full four wheel alignment the vibration at speed was cured.

But the car was also washed, the alloys gleaming and also the suspension had been corrected with out me even asking for it, the car now glides over these bumps with out a clunk, and all for free, even the wheel alignment.

My point is that the sale had already been made. The cash had parted hands and more often than not, from my experience the seller tends to clam up, or at least tries to get payment for additional work. Granted the gearbox was all covered by the warranty work issued by the previous owner, but they went the extra mile and were pro-active about the problem solving.

So my thanks to the point of contact at The TVR Centre all the way down (or up ) to the mechanic that actually did the work.
