Hi all,

On the 16th April there will be the next round of the TVR CC Challenge Cup and on the 17th April will be running the first round of the TVR Challenge.

Like last year I have been in contact with the organisers at Brands Hatch about parking for TVRs. We have been allocated the “gravel area” which is the hard standing area next to the grandstand (opposite the pits). Which is good as we don’t need to make that frightening journey over to South Bank.

Entrance to the event will be normal ticket prices plus a £2 fee for parking within the circuit complex.

I hope a lot of you can make it over the weekend to support racers.

If any of you have any questions please let me know and I will try and help.

See you all there

Lake - Providing that the weather is ok, I am hoping that I will be able to attend on both days. As a newbie to this and Brands though, I have some questions to ask you. When I arrive at the circuit, if I tell them that I want to park up with the TVR's on the gravel, will they direct me there? Do you have a rough idea of the cost of getting in? Do you know if it is possible to talk to any of the teams ie are spectators allowed in to the paddock/pits?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, I have been told that the gate staff will be informed by operations, so they SHOULD know where we will be located.

Basically though, when you go thought the main gate, go strait on, towards the grandstand up the hill in front of you. Just before the grandstand on the right there is a gravel area overlooking the track and the pit area opposit. Just park up there.

Its £10 per day, if booked in advance or £12 on the day (According to the website).

Here is a link to the Motorsport Direct website where tickets can be purchased online.

Yes, normally Brands is a very informal affair and with easy access to the padock area and the teams.

There will be no TVR's racing on the Sunday as the TVR Challenge has been cancelled. I phoned the BRSCC to check and they only received 3 entries!

I have just had it confirmed that this is the case. As far as I know no decision has been made regarding the rest of the season, but the Brands Hatch event is now cancelled.

News to me. The entry forms were only sent to the competitors on Saturday, so 3 entries received by BRSCC in as many days is not surprising.
