I'm sure this has been done before, but in the name of fun...

Ted up we go.
Just got my '96P Chim 400 back on Saturday from the 105053 miles Service. FTVRSH. Went for a blast with the N. Ireland region boys & girls, oh what a joy she is to drive.
Now planning to enter the Cannonball 3000 event next March, London-Paris-Monte Carlo in 2 days. Have you heard about it?

Two days to get from LOndon to Monte Carlo?? Bloody hell, I could cycle it in that time. Hardly a challenge for a TVR... ;-)

Hmmm, tempted to take a break for a few days and come on this one.

Anyone other PHs going? If so what's your weapon of choice?

Need to start a new thread on Cannonball3000 I think but anyway, I'm going in my 4.2 Cerbera - started making the arrangements already, but 'cos we've only heard about it on the web so far, am a bit wary of the event. Is it really going to happen do you think? Or is it just at the planning stage? Does anyone know anything about Conrad Wall the organiser?

And finally anyone else worrying about the weather or do you think standard Halfords snow chains will fit on the cerby!

Garth they better fit the Chim as well. Not forgetting the 968 Club Sport. Mind you if Patrick wants to they could have to fit the Tamora.

Serious now Petrol Ted is it happening and what routes can you use.

I love the car and dont regret buying it at all, it was a dream for me

Not recommended by the factory as they chew up the wheel arches.

You are all wimps. I have had no engine work and had the first clutch at 103,000 miles.
Only hearing about cars with so many miles is b******s.
Do the miles and enjoy your driving. All those poor people who only have under 30000 miles, just think what fun they have missed out on.
Cars are built to be driven.
Get out and DRIVE.

Marq Ruben former President to TVRCCNA had I believe over 250,000 miles on his TVR2500, there are also rumours of Vixens with over 300,000 miles.

Rumours are no good. If you have done the miles stand up and be counted, be PROUD, DRIVE TVR.

I'm no wimp, I've done more miles in my TVR than James Tiberius Kirk did in the Enterprise. It's just that my speedo cable broke in 1986 and I've not fixed it yet, still reads 48652

Missed this thread originally....

With the blat to VW this weekend I clocked 99,000 in the S. I think I'll have got rid of it before the 100,000 though...shame really as I'd quite like to do the tonne !!

I've done 55,000 of those miles in the last 2.5 yrs...

Cheers
