TVR Monster Meet goes live

Snetterton is to play host to a TVR track day with a difference. As much as social event as a track day, the TVR Monster Meet offers you specialists and enthusiasts attending from all areas. You can meet and get to know the people involved in all aspects modifying for fast road, track and race use. Check out modifications first hand.

Attendees include:

  • Michael Caine - Works TVR Driver and Le Mans veteran
  • Steve Guglielmi of Scaredstiff.com - Twice TVR Tuscan Challenge Champion
  • TVRCC Cup Race Teams (with hot laps): Blackcat Racing, Topcats Racing, Team TMS, RT Racing
  • Ride Drive - Track instruction and car craft
  • Toyo Tyres- Road legal track day tyres
  • Newlun Designs - High Form GRP work
  • TVR Power

Plus technical workshop experts including V8 tuning guru Mark Adams, ACT Products, and Peter Humphries, TVR Speed Championship coordinator.

Based in deepest Norfolk, it promises to be the TVR track event of the year -- don't miss it!

When: Saturday 3 September 2005

Where: Snetterton circuit

How much: £140 for track time, three sessions all day; £59 for Topcats, several laps; £60 for Michael Caine session, 30-40mins.

The event is open to all TVRs, and is free for day visitors.

Looks good, but what does £xx translate to in terms of folding stuff?

Says £140 on BB's website. Not sure how much track time that's for, though.

£140 for track time...3 sessions, (running all day)
£59 for Top cats sessions (several laps)
£60 for Micheal Caine session (30-40 mins)

Shirley it means three groups of cars taking it in turns to go out?

So used to doing open pit lane days I can't remember the last sessioned track day i attended
(that's my excuse for appearing thick this time anyway )

can't do open pit (my fave too) due to speed and skill differential.

(not saying which category you'd be in jools )

3 sessions, running all day

road
fast road
pro / heavily modified

Sounds great if the organiser plus Ted gets in touch with me I maybe able to secure a discounted rooms at a Hotel near the track on a bulk booking.

Afraid to say we'll be leading 12 TVR's to the Champagne region on that weekend so have a good one guys .

Can anyone confirm if this goes down as a "TVRCC trackday" for Insurance purposes? (ie Peart will insure me on TVRCC track days, so will this be included
?)

I'm in the same boat, so if someone could sched some light on this it would be great. After seeing a Tuscan hit the wall last time I was at Snetterton I'd definitely like to have some insurance...

Well I would have booked but the EasyTrack web site fell over on me! Now the session is missing from the site when I've gone back in to it
