I think I could be persuaded...

I cant believe I never made it to the Tooley Tunnels!!!
I really need to invest in a TomTom or the sort. I reckon I could get lost trying to find my way to the front door of my house!!!

Either, though I reckon we should start even earlier. Say 5.30? That would give us plenty of free roads before the traffic builds for the morning. Having said that, I'll be there whatever.

Errr, is 5am later than 5.30 then? I shall have to buy a new watch...

No, that's me being lazy and skimming your post. I saw 6.55am. My bad. Was going to suggest 5am then changed it to 5.30 as I thought people might get scared

I reckon a 6:00 departure from the initial rendevous point would be good - Early enough for those trekking from Bristol and Birmingham

Also means you have to be there by 5/5:30 am anyway for teh coffee and chat before hand

Aaaargh....

going to be in Edinburgh for a wedding on the 5th...

even if it finishes really early it probably means me not being able to drive up to the wedding...

aaargh... one tunnel run missed to a kaput clutch, another to a wedding...

aaargh... life isn't worth living! Unless anyone wants to do another date of course...

But I reckon that extra 30-60 minutes will make a big difference to the traffic. Surely it's worth sacrificing a half-hours kip for clearer roads. I can always put somebody up at my place if it's a deciding factor!
