I have seen a lot of failed clutches on the Tuscan post, including mine. This is the AP racing item.
I have tried in vain through dealers, indies, and TVR, to get an idea of when a new one can be found. The word from the dealers is that there have been none for MONTHS and no hope yet of resolving the situation.
Aside from being initially furious, I have seen there are other TVR owners in a similar predicament, and I need to get emails from as many of these folk as possible. Hopefully with this mass, we should be able to get some official comment from TVR.

So that's no clutches for the Cerberas & non for the speed six's, or are they one & the same ?
Two possible answers then.
1) AP have got confirmed orders for them, even dealers ring them up direct & they can't be bothered to make any.
2) TVR havn't paid the bill for one reason or another.

Mine failed a couple of months ago after 41k miles (first failure was at about 22k) and was replaced within the week. Try Racing Green on 01252 544888. That's not a solicitation of business but a recommendation. Tell Martin that Matt C sent you (unless of course you're at the wrong end of the country).

AP stopped supply when ownership changed and bills werent paid.
They are supplying now BUT TVR are basically ordering just enough for new cars and not helping with supply to dealers and indies etc So the ball is in TVRs court. I wrote to AP and they replied to explain. I wrote to TVR and got no reply!
The clutches can only be supplied by AP to TVR and not direct.
Others can do alternatives eg autocraft.

Don't TVR have a moral and possibly legal obligation to supply these parts in good time?
Perhaps its worth a phone call to trading standards, theres possibly some law available for them to use to make TVR get with the programme!.
Fancy, getting a beautiful car, showing it off to your friends, and then not being able to drive it because you can't get a part that is so commonly a wear-and-tear item, its laughable.

Moral yes, legal probably not. There's no implication that anyone has to provide after sales service if they haven't expressly agreed to.
I'd consider it more a reputational risk from their point of view, not a legal one.
This is always a popular topic on the Cerbea forum, my understanding is that the speed 6 and AJP V8 clutches are the same. AP have entered into this agreement with TVR, so TVR only can supply them to the public and for reasons best known to themselves are not doing so, or at least not in a timely fashion.
There are some other options, again discussed on the Cerbera forum. Or you could all write/phone TVR and ask where you can get them from. If you pester them enough, maybe they'll do something.

Its a legal obligation of a manufacturer to make spares and serviceable components available for 5 or 7 years after manufacture!!
I would speak with customer liaison at the factory and make them aware its going to be in next weeks Autocar if they dont sort you out.
