The main man Paul mentioned this last year, and has kept his word and got the event BOOKED!!!!!!!!!

This event is open to ALL TVR's, you dont have to run, its a great day out for the chilled and possibly will be the GREATEST TVR EVENT of the YEAR!

Perfect for those with little gritters too! A day out in what should be great weather and every sort of TVR the mind could possibly imagine (and more!)!
Santa Pods is well known for its Drag Racing crown in the country, but also all the amenities are there, food, music, restuarent, toilets and everything else you'd expect from one of the best public motoring spots in the UK.

Theres one caveat here, we NEED at the minimum, 100 bookings to make it an EXCLUSIVE TVR ONLY EVENT! I dont see that as a problem, we're all nuts about our marque so we should easily top most other clubs out there!

I hope the regional TVR Car Clubs as well as Pistonheads can get behind Austec Racing and get the word out!

I'm told, already we've got a few special guests, and as soon as the PR hits the press, more 'special/rare' TIVVERS are gonna come out of the woodwork!

Remember, this event isnt about whos bigger than who, its a FUN DAY OUT! and ALL get to play on the strip as ONE BIG budding community!

There will be prizes handed out to the best of the best of each league, I dont know how Pauls doing the leagues, but he'll probably do it by model. And the prizes are being sponsored by a few companies.

So from the old to the new - no matter if 0-60 takes 5 hours to 3 secs, lets all get together and have a FANTASTIC day!!!!

This event will be one to remember!!!!

Date: 8th APRIL 2006 This year!

* £10 per adult admission fee.
* £50.00 for a ticket to get unlimited runs on the strip!

Remember - ITS FOR FUN! and safety first. Santa Pods is a professional drag-strip and all the usual safety outfits are present, but unless someones running a top-fueller under the hood, I think we wont be witnessing any mad hatters....

Spread the word! Pauls gone out on a limb to get this for us (he had to pay up front!!!!)

So lets show SantaPods what a strip overrun by TVR's is all about!

If convincing your other half is an issue, just let her know, this is no tyre-kicking meet and discussions wont be hovering whats better 'optimax' or 'bp'.... If all goes to plan, we could be looking at possibly the greatest gathering ever!

Finally, ALL TVR owners get to meet each other... no model snobbery here! So lets make it happen ladies 'n gents!

So pencil it in chaps, and get on the hooter to Paul to book your place:

Austec Racing
Ref: TVR Drag Day Booking
Tel: 01293 531080

And remember, most of the countries TVR tuners and mechanics and everyone you can imaging will be here, so what better venue to meet the TVR world face-to-face than amongst the burning smell of tyres and eye-watering display of TVR's doing what they do best - GO IN A STRAIGHT LINE!

Ooooh!, I wanna come.... Never been on the strip before. Keep saying I'm gonna. What better time to lose my drag virginity than in the company of 100 TVRs.

I'll phone Austec tomorrow.

Andy you're more than welcome mate, of course we're trying to keep this a TVR only event, but the tuners will be given special privileges I'm sure
Maybe Dom can bring his TVR Power tuned drag bikes down for a short display of bike mayhem too...

I'll speak to Paul tomorrow and see whats on the agenda... a PH press release is due soon too.

Looks like I'll have to join you in the slow pokes corner then. Never done this before, but it sounds like a good wheeze.

Compared to some of the stuff that runs at the Pod 110dB is pretty quiet - I doubt there'll be much of a problem.
