Now I don't condone road racing, but I'm sure there are some interesting stories about motoring exotica being embarassed by our humble Chims.
Come on then, lets hear them!

I used to advocate testicle removal for people who couldn't spell 'TVR' correctly. But I've mellowed in my old age.

I was nearly beaten by an old mini once. Pulled up next to me at the lights making a lot of noise - looked and sounded quite sorted. Methinks OK, I'll just pull away a bit sharpish so as not to embarrass him too much. Well bugger me - he kept up with me. Up to 50mph I had to accelerate quite hard (not flat out, but YKWIM) ... guess he he to put it into 3rd gear then as he kinda went backwards.

Och! I wanted to mention embarassing a British Racing Green Aston Martin DB7 in my 106 Rallye, he couldn't overtake a numpty on a twisty road, but I could (taller car and could overtake safely) so I left him for dead, in the twisties. Took him about 10 miles to catch me (slowed down on the motorway to check out my then new Rallye), after which he waved and engaged WARP drive.

Smiled for weeks I did.

Once got burnt off by a Rover 220 Tomcat with an exhaust the size of a pornstars ****.

Mind you we were in a 30 zone by a school and a Tesco's, and I decided that safety wins the day.

Once got obliterated by a Fiat 127 - later found out he had a small block chevvy in the boot - car looked almost standard from the outside - gave it everything I had in an 850 T5 and still couldnt get near him...

Thepeoplespal I had a Black 106 Rallye too!!! (L304ADD) and it was a great car

Had a bit of a laugh with a Ferarri 360 modena shortly after buying my Chim 4.0. I was driving along a duel carrageway in Bracknell of all places with the modena in front of me. Sadly there was a police car in front of the modena so couldnt do much untill the police turned right giving us the green light to go for it.

Needless to say the 360 got the better of me but im proud to say we remained about level till around 70 ish. He grabbed third gear and it was all over He then had the cheeck to wave his finger at me in a loaded kind of fashion at the next set of lights , I assume the reason for this being that my car only cost the same as his next service, HA.

If only I had bought the 5.0lt.......or a cerbie!!!!

A While back, I saw one of those new supercharger sporty mini things blast past an old xr3i, then on his arse, was a turbo supra thing, which then blasted past the mini. Just to join in the fun like, I hoofed it past the supra ( with much more style than the supra past the mini btw ) and thought, hey, that was a three way balls out moment, you dont get that very often. As i relishing 'owning' moment, a tornado jet blasted past about 70 foot above!! Its true... I wonder if he was joining in the fun too !

Was seen off by a Cerbera whilst out for a blat on my Triumph T509 Speed Tripple..... and on a curvy road. Nothing much in it up to 90 but then he kept going round the corners and at 110+ with footrests kissing the tarmac decided to be realistic and give up the chase ....... and the noise, even over an illegal race can at full throttle !!!

Anyway it influenced my decision to buy TVR.
